Star 1 Academy - New this Season

Star 1 Academy is designed as a transition program into the competition stream of StarSkate.

Star 1 Academy will be taught in a group format, 3 days per week, and is included in the StarSkate program.

In this level, skaters will learn Star 1 Dance, Skills, and FreeSkate and take the corresponding assessments prior to moving into StarSkate 2+. 

Off-Ice training is a vital part of the StarSkate curriculum. Skaters will train flexibility, learn and strengthen positions that they will use on the ice, perform exercises that will further develop their motor/movement skills and patterns. The off-ice portion of the program is not meant to be optional so please be sure your skater attends.
  Skaters must pass Junior Development before entering this program or have approval from the coaching team to register in this program.

Dates - Sept 9 - Dec 14, 2026

Included are ice fees, coaching fees, off-ice programming, and on-ice stroking classes.

Not included are competitions (optional) and assessment fees.

** A minimum of 3 skaters must be registered for a class to run**

Cost per session:

36 x On-Ice + 12 x Off-Ice Classes      $720

Please Note

$64 Skate Canada Fee will be added to all registrations

*Skate Canada Fee added to each registration once per skater per season. Insurance covers from Sept 1 - Aug 31.
