CanSkate 5+
CanSkate 5+ is Skate Canada’s Learn-to-Skate Program for children ages 5 - 12 yrs.
Participants earn badges/ribbons while focusing on three fundamental areas (agility, balance, and control) divided into six stages (music, warm-up, lessons, challenge exercise, fast track, and cool-down) for an exciting and fun group program.
Skaters work on CanSkate Stages 1-6
Skaters are evaluated during the first couple of classes & placed into groups based on age & skill levels.
Skaters must be 5 years old by Sept 1st or have passed the CanSkate 3+ program
5 yrs old - Which class is best to begin with?
CanSkate 3+ - Has never been on skates, needs assistance to stand or move forward, or looking for a short, fun, game-filled introduction.
CanSkate 5+ - Has some skating experience, can stand & skate forward on their own, or looking for a bit more of a challenge with fun skill-based circuits?
A CSA-approved Hockey helmet is mandatory
No Bike or Ski helmets allowed

A minimum of 3 skaters must be registered for a class to run
Cost per session:
12 Classes $200
11 Classes $183

$62 Skate Canada Fee will be added to all registrations
*Skate Canada Fee added to each registration once per skater per season. Insurance covers from Sept 1 - Aug 31.
